1. Agreement
These Terms and Conditions form an agreement between you and Sefy Vardon Ltd when you access the Vardon website, download Vardon, create an account, subscribe, or use any connected Vardon service.
If you use Vardon on behalf of another person or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for them. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use Vardon.
2. What Vardon provides
Vardon is a desktop financial workspace that helps users organise cashflow, accounts, budgets, sinking funds, loans, portfolio information, imported transactions, and related financial records.
We may update, change, suspend, or remove parts of Vardon where this is needed for maintenance, security, product improvement, legal compliance, third-party service changes, or operational reasons.
3. Accounts and security
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your device, email account, Vardon sign-in process, and any verification codes secure.
- You must tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.
- We may apply security checks, rate limits, verification steps, or temporary access restrictions to protect users and the service.
4. Subscription and billing
Paid access is provided on the plan and price shown at checkout or inside Vardon. Payments, invoices, card handling, and subscription management may be processed by Stripe or another secure payment provider.
Unless a checkout page or applicable law says otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you may continue using paid features until that period ends.
Where you are a consumer, you may have statutory cancellation rights. If you ask us to provide digital content, downloads, account access, paid features, or subscription access immediately, you may be asked to acknowledge that your cancellation rights may be affected once access begins, where permitted by law. This does not affect any rights you may have where Vardon is faulty, not as described, or where applicable law gives you additional protection.
We may change subscription pricing or plan features, but any change that affects an active recurring subscription will be communicated before it applies. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
5. Financial information and decisions
Vardon is a record keeping, planning, and analysis tool, not a regulated financial advice service. It provides information, organisation, calculations, forecasts, classifications, and visualisations only. It does not recommend that you buy, sell, hold, borrow, save, invest, switch provider, enter into any financial product, or take any tax, legal, accounting, or investment action.
Graphs, forecasts, balances, classifications, merchant information, and portfolio data may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or dependent on information supplied by you or by third-party services.
6. Third-party services
Vardon may use or connect with third parties that help provide the service. This may include Stripe or other payment providers for payments and billing, open banking providers where you choose to use connected banking features, hosting providers, software update and download infrastructure, and analytics, diagnostics, or support tools where used.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for outages, errors, delays, refusals, account restrictions, or data made available by those providers, except where the law says we are responsible.
7. Acceptable use
- You must not misuse Vardon, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorised access, or bypass security controls.
- You must not upload malicious files, use automated abuse, probe infrastructure, or reverse engineer private service endpoints.
- You must not use Vardon for unlawful activity, fraud, infringement, harassment, or activity that would damage the service or other users.
- You must comply with applicable law when importing, storing, exporting, or sharing financial information.
8. Ownership and licence
Vardon, including the software, design, branding, website, documentation, and service infrastructure, is owned by Sefy Vardon Ltd or its licensors.
Subject to these terms and any active subscription requirements, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Vardon for your own lawful financial organisation.
9. Availability, updates, and downloads
We aim to keep downloads, updates, and account services available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, security work, provider issues, device settings, network conditions, and operating system changes may affect access.
You should install updates promptly because they may contain security fixes, compatibility changes, and corrections.
10. Local data and backups
Vardon may store some information locally on your device, including records, settings, imports, exports, cached views, or workspace data.
You are responsible for keeping appropriate backups of your own records and exported files. Device loss, operating system changes, uninstalling Vardon, local file deletion, corruption, failed imports, or unsupported manual changes may affect access to locally stored data.
We may not be able to recover data that only existed locally on your device.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill, or losses caused by inaccurate user entries, third-party data, unsupported device changes, or decisions made from Vardon outputs.
12. Ending or restricting access
You may stop using Vardon at any time and may cancel any paid subscription through the available billing process. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these terms, create security risk, misuse the service, or where we are required to do so by law.
Where practical and lawful, we will give notice before restricting or ending access.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when Vardon changes, when the law changes, or when operational requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page with the updated date.
If a material change affects an active account or paid subscription, we will take reasonable steps to bring the change to your attention.
14. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except where consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
For questions about these terms, contact Sefy Vardon Ltd through the support contact inside Vardon or by emailing support@sefyvardon.com.
