VARDON SUPPORT
Delete your Vardon account
You can request deletion of your Vardon account and associated data through the app or by email. This page explains what is deleted, what may be retained and how to manage your subscriptions.
1. How to request deletion
In the Vardon app, open your account settings and choose the account deletion option.
Alternatively, email support@sefyvardon.com from the email address registered to your Vardon account. Ask us to delete your account and associated data.
2. What gets deleted
Account deletion removes the following, subject to the limited retention described below:
- Your Vardon account.
- Your personal financial records, including accounts and transactions.
- Your budgets.
- Your investments.
- Your linked connections.
- Other associated user data.
3. What may be retained
When deletion completes, your account is disabled and your personal financial records are removed from our active systems. The following information may remain to complete deletion, maintain security or meet legal and accounting obligations.
- Database backups
- Routine database backup archives are removed on a successful backup run once they are at least eight days old. This period is measured from the backup's creation. Failed or delayed backup runs can extend retention.
- Security and diagnostic logs
- Application logs are retained in a rolling history. Older files are removed as the logs reach their storage limits. There is currently no fixed retention period in days.
- Deletion records and analytics preferences
- A disabled account record remains with your original email address, username and sign-in credentials removed. The link between your account and existing product usage records is removed when deletion completes. We keep an analytics opt-out record to prevent further account-linked analytics. The disabled account record and opt-out record have no automatic expiry.
- Brokerage connection deletion
- The information needed to complete deletion with a brokerage connection provider is retained until that provider confirms removal. Failed requests are retried, so there is no fixed maximum period while confirmation is outstanding.
- Billing and accounting records
- For Stripe payments, we request deletion of your customer record and remove the payment-provider references from your Vardon account. Stripe may retain payment records for legal, tax and accounting purposes under its Privacy Policy.
4. Subscriptions
Subscriptions purchased through Google Play or Apple may need to be cancelled separately. Deleting your Vardon account does not necessarily cancel a subscription managed by an app store.
If you subscribed through Google Play, manage or cancel your Vardon subscription in Google Play. If you subscribed through Apple, manage or cancel it in your Apple subscription settings.
